The Cortex Classic Implant is a titanium screw type implant. It has an internal hexagon (top part of the implant) which is compatible with all types of abutments available. The Unigrip Bone Compression (body part of the implant) is achieved by means of its unique design, which uses different distances between the threads, thus creating extra pressure at the cortical bone. This feature is fundamental in a sinus lifting process. This titanium screw type implant is guaranteed to help maintain the integrity of the jawbone and prevent deterioration of the bone that can take place with a missing tooth. The Cortex Classic Implant is made of titanium, an inert metal which has been proven to be effective at fusing with living bone, a process known as "osseointegration". It is the direct structural and functional connection between living bone and the surface of a load-bearing artificial implant, typically made of titanium. It is a property virtually unique to titanium and hydroxylapatite, and has enhanced the science of medical bone, and joint replacement techniques.
